The GLE AMG 450 is combining two classes of vehicle – each with its own distinct style; The sporty nature of a coupé dominates, imbued with the striking characteristics of a robust SUV.

This GLE 450 AMG version has the sporty driving character as its mechanical package has been developed directly by Mercedes' performance division. The 3.0-litre twin-turbo petrol V6 has been tweaked to produce more power (that makes 362 horsepower) while accelerating to triple figures in 5.7 seconds. It's paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and a performance version of M-B's 4Matic all-wheel drive programmed for greater rear-torque bias.

To optimize the package for any driving or surface condition, AMG Sport enhancements also include Dynamic Select ; a multi-mode control system offering Comfort, Slippery, Sport and Sport+ as well as an Individual setting.

With 5 doors, 5 seats, the GLE is a mid-size luxury SUV, the trunk is capacious enough to carry a full load of luggage under the cargo shelf. Once inside, the ambience is truly luxurious, the GLE’s beautifully crafted interior leaves you wanting for nothing. The interior is lovely with mostly wonderful ergonomics. The center console houses the COMAND controller with the touchpad fitted above in an optimum ergonomic position, and the trim package includes carbon fiber, wood and leather. The Nappa leather seats are comfortable and supportive, and the cabin is kept clear of annoying wind and road noise.
